DIY Nourishing Body Scrub

Hi ChoXChe-ers! How are you? I hope you are great! Btw, did you watch the super blue blood moon last night? It was phenomenal, wasn't it! Anyways, Valentine's Day is coming up (for those who have been single for the longest time, it's on 14th February!) and I am posting something to prepare ChoXChe-ers for that lovey-dovey day! Yes, I am going to share with ChoXChe-ers a super simple beauty-related hacks, a DIY body scrub! The reason why I made this myself was firstly, I was broke (Duh?). Secondly, I thought why not making it myself if all I need is truly basic and existing kitchen ingredients? Don’t believe me? Just take a look at the 3 ingredients and simple steps required to make this body scrub!

Ingredients:

1. 3 cups of sugar/ sea salt

2. 3 tablespoons of honey

3. 4 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil/ Olive Oil/Almond Oil/ Coconut Oil

Instructions:

1. Add 3 tbps of honey into 3 cups of sugar/sea salt and mix well.

2. Add 4 tbps of oil of your preference (I used extra virgin oil). If you still think the mixture is too sticky, please add more oil though. Remember you wouldn't want it to be too oily nor too dry, so look up for the texture in between these two.

3. Mix thoroughly before keeping the scrub in an air tight container.

TARAAA! You are ready to enjoy your own DIY Scrub! YAY!!

* See? Told ya it's extremely easy!*

Also, I have included the benefits of each of the ingredients listed above, as follow:

~ Sugar: removes dead skins and leave the skin healthy and glowing.

~ Sea Salt: cleanse pores deeply, balance oil production and thwart bacteria that can instigate breakouts and acne.

~ Honey: prevents and treats acne as it is antibactericidal, slows down the aging process for it is an antioxidant, creates glow/ radiant skin due to its moisturizing and soothing properties, opens up the clogged pores.

~ Olive Oil: intense moisturizer, fight the aging due to its antioxidant properties, deep cleansing as it is able to penetrate deeply into skin.

~Almond Oil: suitable for sensitive skin as it is less likely to cause allergic reaction. Due to its light texture, it can easily penetrate deep into the skin, softening and dislodging the dirt and debris accumulated in the skin pores and hair follicles. This in turn prevents blackheads and acne. Also it contains Vitamin A that may help reduce acne flare-ups.

~Coconut Oil: suitable for very dry skin as it is effective in increasing hydration and reducing water loss (highly moisturizing). Coconut oil also is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, therefore help to reduce the risk of infection within your skin.

Hope this information is useful!<3<3<3
