Poached Egg

Hi ChoxChe-ers. I am back with another simple recipe! This time I am sharing with you on how I made my poached egg using the saran wrap. This recipe is especially useful for ChoxChe-ers who don't like peeling the egg shell after it is cooked or need to prepare poached egg in the lunch box but worry that the runny egg yolk will flow out and mix with the other dishes; creating a pungent egg smell to the whole bento. By having the poached egg wrapped, we can prevent such things to happen.

Note that for this recipe, I didn't use cooking oil to coat the plastic wrap in advance. It is healthier without oil, however, unwrapping could be a challenge due to the tendency of the egg white to stick to plastic wrap. Therefore, feel free to coat it with cooking oil if you want the poached egg to slide smoothly upon unwrapping. Alrighty then, without further intro, let’s jump to this fun recipe!

Ingredients:

1. Egg

2. Saran wrap

Instructions:

1. Boil the water with high heat and set the fire to low afterwards.

2. Place plastic wrap with slight indention in the center of the mug, like so:

3. Crack the egg in the center

4. Twirl the saran wrap to seal the egg, like so:

5. Place it in the simmering water for 3 minutes.

6. Unwrap and serve it together with your meal !

Yum yum yum~!

Hope this tip is helpful for y'all. Happy Cooking, ChoxChe-ers!

Till the next post!
